Discover Alpacas: The “ Huggable” Investment
Blankstone Farm is a working Alpaca farm where you can see and touch exquisite Alpaca fleece—sometimes called “the finest wool in the world” - shop for surprisingly affordable and long-wearing garments, toys, and home accessories. The entire family will enjoy meeting these gentle animals and viewing the raw fleece, rovings, yarn, and beautiful products made from this velvety fleece.

Alpaca and her criaThe gentle Alpaca
Native to the high, windswept Andes mountains of Peru, Chile, and Bolivia, the Alpaca has a sumptuous coat that produces a velvety, fine-grain fiber - one of the world’s softest, most versatile, natural wools. Domesticated more than 5,000 years ago by the Incas, these animals are becoming popular here in the United States, raised both for their cashmere-like fleece and as pets.

Beautiful alpaca clothingLuxurious, durable, lightweight
Alpaca products, from clothing to home accessories, are a wonderful, unique addition to your life. Treasured around the world for its softness and durability, rare Alpaca fiber is more durable than cashmere, yet warmer and lighter than sheep’s wool. Come see for yourself! Shop in the main house and in the Fiber Boutique. Some surprises await you! We now have yarn from Blankstone’s alpacas. Meet your favorite alpaca and buy their yarn for your own unique project!

Schedule of Events

Welcome to the 7th Annual Autumn Alpacafest! Enjoy a cup of cider or coffee and stay for a free seminar or more. These seminars have been designed for the new or experienced breeder, or anyone who just wants to know more about these fascinating creatures. Please refrain from bringing pets—they tend to scare the alpacas.
